This plugin can connect to external services when you enable the related options in the plugin settings.
- JewelsStore hosted AI service
* What it is used for: generating chat replies when the AI reply mode is set to JewelsStore hosted AI.
* What data is sent: the visitor message, site URL, plugin slug, plugin version, and the configured runtime agent payload such as agent name, instructions, knowledge, and optional page context.
* When data is sent: when a site visitor submits a chat message and the JewelsStore hosted AI mode is enabled.
* Extra note: this hosted service may apply a hosted monthly reply allowance per site. If that allowance is reached, the free widget stays active and the site owner can continue with WhatsApp, direct OpenAI mode, or a premium hosted plan.

- OpenAI API (direct mode)
* What it is used for: generating chat replies directly from the site when the AI reply mode is set to Direct OpenAI API.
* What data is sent: the visitor message and the configured runtime agent payload such as agent name, instructions, knowledge, and optional page context.
* When data is sent: when a site visitor submits a chat message and the site owner has chosen Direct OpenAI API mode.
* Service provider: OpenAI.

- Meta / WhatsApp Cloud API
* What it is used for: receiving and sending WhatsApp messages through Meta when webhook integration is enabled and configured by the site owner.

* When data is sent: only when the site owner enables Meta webhook mode and connects their Meta developer credentials.

- JewelsStore installation insights service
* What it is used for: optionally refreshing aggregate installation insights shown inside the plugin settings page.

* When data is sent: only after the site owner explicitly enables the optional installation insights setting.

Premium trial activation screen. After installing the separate premium add-on, site owners can start the free 12-day trial to test premium features on their own website.

Installation
- Upload the
jewelsstore-chat-widgetfolder to/wp-content/plugins/or install it from WordPress.org. - Activate the plugin through the Plugins screen in WordPress.
- Go to the WP AI Chat Widget Advanced admin menu.
- Configure the widget and, if desired, choose JewelsStore hosted AI, Direct OpenAI API, and/or Meta webhook integration.

Yes. The free plugin works on its own.

Is an external service required?

No. The widget can be displayed without it. Automatic AI replies require either JewelsStore hosted AI mode or Direct OpenAI API mode to be enabled and configured.

Can I upgrade later?

Yes. Advanced features are available through the separate premium add-on.

Does the free version block basic chat help?

No. The free version can be configured to keep replies concise and mention upgrades when relevant, but it should still provide basic help.

Can I protect my hosted API budget in the free version?

Yes. The free widget can stay usable while the optional JewelsStore hosted AI service applies a monthly hosted reply allowance per site. Site owners can also switch to Direct OpenAI API mode to use their own API key.
