## FAQ

### Will this block all types of admin notices?

Yes — the plugin intercepts WordPress admin notices regardless of their source (
core, plugins or themes).

### What happens to notices after I hide them?

They are stored in the Hidden Notices tab where you can preview, restore, or keep
them hidden.

### Can I temporarily hide a notice?

Yes! Use the snooze option to hide notices for a specific time period (1, 3, 7,
or 30 days).

### Will hidden notices come back after updates?

No, once hidden, notices stay hidden until you manually restore them.

### Does the plugin impact front-end performance?

Not at all. Notification Blocker only works within the WordPress admin area and
has no effect on your site’s front-end.

### Can I choose how the plugin’s interface looks?

Yes, there’s a UI Settings tab that lets you choose between WordPress default styles
or a custom UI.

I can finally see my original Dashboard, after years of amassing countless banners,
nags, alerts, upsells. This is a seriously simple but powerful plugin. There is
noo upsell (hipefully yet), it has a simple interface and makes life much more simplier(
and cleaner) when working in the backend of Wordpress. Not all plugins need to be
packed jammed with features. A simple solution was what plugins were originally
created for. And this one delivers, Great stuff.

It’s a simple, elegant solution that will annoy some plugin devs I’m sure, but it
stops all those irritating notices that crowd the top of your screen asking you
to review the plugin or why not upgrade to the PRO version. While I appreciate making
plugins is a thankless task and can take months of work, if I like a plugin I will
usually upgrade if I am going to use it more, and the irritating messages are more
likely to put me off buying the pro version. This just cleans up the interface in
the backend and let’s you get on with your work. Love it 🙂

### 󠀁[Exactly What I Needed to Disable WordPress Notifications!](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/exactly-what-i-needed-to-disable-wordpress-notifications/)󠁿

 [Mohamed Shili](https://profiles.wordpress.org/medshi8/) March 28, 2025

Man, this plugin is exactly what I needed. My WordPress dashboard was packed with
admin notices, update nags, and random alerts — and this just shuts them all up
with one click. Super lightweight, clean UI, no setup. It doesn’t turn off email
notifications (which is fine), but it’s perfect if you just wanna hide WordPress
dashboard messages without messing with code. Appreciate the work on this. It’s
one of those “install it and forget it” kind of tools.
